The official Consumer Price Index arrives once a month, two weeks late, with survey methods that lag market reality; this site recomputes an inflation gauge every day from live market prices — new-lease rents, pump prices, grocery staples, energy, vehicles — and publishes it next to the official number, with a forecast of the next CPI print and a public scoreboard that grades that forecast after every release, misses included.
The site is built and run by Steven Fiorillo, founder of Fiorillo Media — a markets analyst with an MBA, over 200 published articles on Seeking Alpha, and a long-running investing channel on YouTube. Everything is checkable: every input series is public and downloadable from the open data directory (1,300+ series from the BLS, BEA, EIA, Zillow, AAA, the Federal Reserve system and USDA), the methodology is generated from the live engine so it cannot drift, and forecasts are pre-registered with dated, immutable receipts before every print.
