Nowflation for journalists and publishers

Nowflation Realtime reads 3.2% year over year as of 2026-10-17. The Nowflation CPI Gauge reads 3.46% and the last official CPI print was 3.7% for September 2026. They are three different measures of three different questions and will not agree on any given day.

The next Nowflation Forecast is 3.9% (3.86% unrounded) for the October 2026 CPI print, the current call: it moves with its inputs until it is locked into a SHA-256-hashed receipt the evening before the release. Each locked call is graded in public against what printed.
